How to get a travel grant

  1. Be a current member of Campus Stores Canada

Non-member institutions and Vendor Partners do not qualify for travel grants.

  2. Be registered for a Full Conference Registration

Conference Education, Conference Trade Show, and One Day registrations are ineligable to apply for travel grants.

  3. Apply for the Travel Grant

During registration you must select “Yes, I would like to apply for a travel grant.”

  4. Present yourself from 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm on January 31, 2020 at the registration desk

Travel grant cheques are only awarded in person. They are not mailed or otherwise transferred. If a cheque is lost it will not be replaced. If you are not present between 12:00 pm and 12:30 pm on Friday, January 31, 2020 you will be unable to claim your travel grant.

Limitations

If you do all the items above there are still limits on how travel grants are awarded. We present travel grants based on the following criteria:

  1. All institutions will receive the first travel grant that they apply and qualify for.

  2. If funds remain in the travel grant budget the second travel grant will be distributed based on a first-come first serve basis.

For example: Sara, Rasheed, and John from the University of Alsask apply for a travel grant. Sara is automatically awarded a $250 travel grant based on her Full Conference Registration and being the first to register. Rasheed is registered for Conference Education and is ineligible to receive a travel grant. John has also applied for the travel grant. Once all the first round of travel grants is calculated there is room in the budget to begin awarding a second round. Unfortunately, John only applied for his travel grant on January 13, 2020 and was quite far down the list for the second travel grant. He did not qualify for the second travel grant.

Travel grants are payable to the store representing the member institution, not the individuals attending the conference.
