Managers and Directors' Summit - Confidentiality Agreement

Before you register, you need to understand what you're agreeing to.

This summit operates under what we call "Traffic Light Protocol Red" - the highest level of confidentiality. Everything discussed in this meeting stays in the room where it's discussed. No exceptions.

What We'll Be Discussing

We'll have frank conversations about:

  • The real financial situation of your campus store

  • Staffing levels, changes, and expertise needs

  • Operational challenges and solutions

  • Strategic decisions your institution is requiring

These conversations only work if everyone can speak candidly without fear that their words will travel beyond this room.

Who Can Attend

This meeting is designed for management-level staff who can speak candidly about their store's operations and strategic decisions.

If you are the primary CSC member from your institution: You can attend yourself or designate someone else from your team.

Important consideration about collective bargaining agreements: If you or your designee are covered by a collective bargaining agreement, you must review your contract to ensure there are no provisions that would require you to disclose information from this meeting. By registering, you assume full responsibility for any conflicts between this confidentiality agreement and your employment contract. CSC cannot be held responsible for any consequences arising from such conflicts.

If you are designating someone else: You are personally responsible for ensuring they understand and will follow these rules. Choose carefully. The CSC Board reserves the right to exclude any designee if we believe they would not be able to contribute meaningfully to the conversation, even if approved by the primary member.

Note about CSC Board Members: Some members of the CSC Board of Directors may be non-management employees. As directors of Campus Stores Canada, they need to be present to effectively operate the industry association. Their participation is subject to agreement from their store's primary contact and they are bound by the same confidentiality requirements as all other attendees.

The Rules

For In-Person Attendance:

  • What's said in the room stays in the room

  • No recording of any kind

  • No sharing notes or information afterward

For Virtual Attendance:

  • You must be alone in your space - no one else can hear the discussion

  • Camera on for the entire meeting

  • Microphone active for the entire meeting

  • No recording of any kind

  • No sharing notes or information afterward

What Happens If Confidentiality Is Broken

If you or your designee breaks confidentiality - even accidentally, even just a rumor - CSC will immediately terminate your membership. There will be no appeals process and no refund of membership fees.

We're serious about this because trust is the only way these conversations work.
